MODULAR RF SHIELDED ROOMS AND ANECHOIC CHAMBERS

EEP modular shielded rooms are constructed from prefabricated, standardised panels. The panels are assembled using M8 bolts at 100 mm spacing with electrically conductive tin coated steel (TCS) mesh gasket between each joint. This modular construction allows shielded rooms to be built in almost unlimited size and configuration. Panel material is 2 mm thick galvanised steel sheet for maximum shielding performance and corrosion resistance.

Magnetic Field 50 dB at 10 kHz to 80 dB at 100 kHz
Electric Field 80 dB from 1kHz to 1GHz
Plane Wave 80 dB from 1 GHz to 10 GHz

 
RF Performance (Enhanced)
Magnetic Field 60 dB at 10 kHz to 100 dB at 100 kHz
Electric Field 100 dB from 1kHz to 1GHz
Plane Wave 100 dB from 1 GHz to 10 GHz, 80 dB to 20 GHz

Upper and lower frequency performance can be extended if required

Modular shielded rooms can be lined with a variety of materials for an office like interior to microwave absorbers for semi or fully anechoic chambers.

Anechoic Chambers
EEP offer anechoic chambers to meet most EMC standards. Summarised below are 3 typical sizes of anechoic chambers designed to offer a cost effective selection for companies carrying out EMC testing. These sizes are by no means final.

TYPE 1 
7.0 x 3.0 x 3.0 m (LxWxH) lined with Ferrite Tiles. 
Emissions Testing 30MHz - 1GHz, deviation from open field value +/- 4dB 
Immunity Testing  26 MHz - 1GHz, field uniformity -0, +6dB 

TYPE 2 
7.8 x 4.0 x 3.6 m (LxWxH) lined with resistive microwave absorber and partial floor coverage with ferrites. 
Emissions 150MHz - 18GHz, deviation from open field value +/- 4dB 
Immunity  80MHz - 1GHz, field uniformity -0 +6dB 

TYPE 3 
9.0 x 6.0 x 5.2m (LxWxH) lined with ferrite and resistive microwave absorbers.
Emissions  30MHz - 18GHz, deviation from open field value +/- 4dB 
Immunity  26MHz - 1GHz, field uniformity -0 +6dB
